According to a recent survey released by Morgan Quitno Press, the nation’s safest cities are accessible across the map, from Simi Valley, CA, to Warwick, RI. The survey compared all cities with populations of more than 75,000 (except Illinois’), based on rates for six major crimes – murder, rape, robbery, assault, burglary and auto theft – with national averages. Some of the other communities rounding out the Top 25 Safest Cities include Gilbert, AZ, Round Rock, TX, Troy, MI, Amherst, NY and Bellevue, WA.
