Safest Cities 2008 Americans consistently say the safety of their communities is a high priority
According to a recent survey released by CQ Press, the nation’s safest cities are accessible
across the map, from Simi Valley, CA, to Amherst, NY. The survey compared all cities with populations of 75,000 or
more, based on rates for six major crimes – murder, rape, robbery, assault,
burglary and auto theft – with national averages. Some of the other communities rounding out the Top 25
Safest Cities include Glendale, CA, Broken Arrow, OK, Parma, OH, and Sterling Heights, MI.
