I keep trying to find all the big flood of foreclosed properties that were announced. No such thing. St Johns County is happily selling at a healthy pace once again. Of course with realistic pricing this time. ;) Perhaps the fact that Saint Johns County is the #1 school district may have something to do with it? Thanks teachers!!

What a great surprise we had in February. We were busy! Cash buyers took the plunge and bought homes at incredible values. First time home buyers can now afford to buy much more than before. We don't have enough rentals so investors would be smart to buy now, buy low and enjoy the ride. I am also happy to say that builders are smiling. Inventories are moving once again.

Sluggish housing market in line for a better 2012, according to quarterly survey
The figures are still flat-lining, but there appears to be signs of life out there for a housing market that's dying for an upward tick of good news.
The up-and-down ride for real estate the past few years was seen again in the fourth quarter of 2011, according to a survey of HouseHunt real estate agents across the country. There are pockets of good news offset by bad, with home values and prices basically bumping along the bottom of the grid on a perceived never-ending rocky road.
