Alexandria Real Estate Market Report - Fairfax County, Virginia
Alexandria, Virginia - Fairfax County

Market Commentary Provided by Maggie DelGallo
In my opinion, you can save yourself quite a bit of time by looking at the homes that are already bank-owned (foreclosures) than going for what is known as a Short Sale in the industry. Often times it can take several weeks/months before you hear from the bank(s) as to whether they accepted your offer. Meanwhile, there are other homes coming on the market that area bank-owned but you are tied up in a contract for a short-sale and waiting to hear whether your offer was accepted, rejected or countered.
