Fort Sam Houston has plenty of homes in the surrounding areas. Alamo Heights is close by for those buyers who are looking for some of the best quality education in the city. The Converse area is also a popular choice as there is plenty of building going on off of I10 with new builders offering great incentives and a lower tax rate conditions are favorable for purchasing a home in the area which is only a short commute away from the base itself. For those buyers who don't mind a little further of a commute Schertz, Cibolo, Universal City, Selma, Garden Ridge and Windcrest are also options worthy of further consideration.
