Great news! $8000 Tax Credit Extended! - Friday November 6th, 2009 3:57pm
Great News! The House and Senate both APPROVED an extension of the tax credit for home purchasers through April 30, 2010.

Here are the basics:
• First Time-Homebuyers still receive an $8,000 tax credit. Single buyers receive $4,000.
• Income limits have increased from $75,000 for single tax filers to $125,000 and from $150,000 to $225,000 for joint tax filers. Big increases!
• Non First-Time Homebuyers who have lived in their primary residence for at least 5 of the last 8 years now qualify for a $6,500 tax credit. Again, single homebuyers qualify for $3,200
• Cap on purchases is $800,000.
• There are additional tax incentives and provisions…check with your CPA.
