Start thinking about Buffalo Grove Days:Buffalo Grove Days - September 2 - 6, 2010 It was in 1958 that Buffalo Grove residents came together for their first community picnic. This fun filled event is planned entirely by volunteers for the entire Village to enjoy. Today in 2010 Buffalo Grove Days has grown to a five day event which includes: a carnival, live entertainment, parade, fireworks, bingo, food tent, arts and crafts fair, business fair, pancake breakfast, bbq challenge, kids craft tent. New this year the Healthy Kids event will be added to the festivities. As you can see there is something for everyone. Truly, this event is about neighbors, family, and friends both old and new! The Buffalo Grove Symphonic Band delights with a special two hour pre-fireworks concert. This large and full range band has impressed audiences and performs a variety of classic and contemporary symphonic band pieces as well as accompanies the BG Singers. Sluggish housing market in line for a better 2012, according to quarterly survey
The figures are still flat-lining, but there appears to be signs of life out there for a housing market that's dying for an upward tick of good news.
The up-and-down ride for real estate the past few years was seen again in the fourth quarter of 2011, according to a survey of HouseHunt real estate agents across the country. There are pockets of good news offset by bad, with home values and prices basically bumping along the bottom of the grid on a perceived never-ending rocky road.
