Life Hacks for Efficiency

We’re all for making life easier so long as it makes things more efficient, which is why we’re major fans of life hacks, also known as tips, tricks and other useful tools of the trade on how to make your life this-much easier.

It’s a lot simpler than you think and requires little more than what you already have around the house. Here are three of our favorite life hacks that you can start off with:

Store bed linens in pillowcases

This was probably the first life hack that’s changed our lives! We don’t know about you, but the war between the linen closet and the copious amounts of bed linens is a weekly battle for us, but for once we’re winning the fight. Simply fold up your matching linens, top sheets and fitted sheets (this one’s another life hack we’ve yet to master) and place them all in the matching pillowcase. You get brownie points for organization and you never have to take everything out of the linen closet to search for the right set of sheets and pillowcases.

Reuse empty coffee creamer bottles to hold snacks

Now this is a terrific idea! If you’re on the road a lot and find yourself hankering for something to munch on, be sure to keep one of these in the car. You can even grab the mini sized version and keep kids’ snacks in them in case the little ones start getting a little fussy. And since we’re constantly drinking coffee, trust us when we say we have plenty of these coffee creamer bottles to spare. Just be sure to wash and dry them completely before you pour your snacks in.

Use rubber bands to keep your clothes from slipping off hangers

Wooden hangers are the best things out on the market for our clothes, but it doesn’t help when our clothes won’t stay on the hangers. To keep this from happening, we learned that all you have to do is wrap a thick rubber band one or two times around the elbows of your hanger and voila! Your clothes stay on the hanger and off the floor.
