Detroit is the most affordable city with a total of six zipcodes earning spots on the list, including the least expensive average price of $18,349. Other Michigan cities on the list are Flint ($29,158), Muskegon ($38,558) and Hamtramck ($39,932). Indiana has four zipcodes on the list, with three of them in the city of Gary where homes in the most affordable zipcode average $38,097. Dallas, Texas has two spots on the list of most affordable home prices ($33,984 and $43,176). Syracuse, New York ($49,711) and Rector, Arkansas ($49,983) complete the list. The list is comprised of average home prices of three-bedroom, single-family residences. It is aggregated by zipcode and includes zipcodes with five or more listings on the market.
