According to HouseHunt neighborhood demographics, seven of the top 20 U.S. cities with the highest average household incomes nationswide are located in California, with the top two in San Diego County. The national household income study results are based on three-bedroom, single-family homes and houses with five or more listings on the real estate market in the U.S. Residents of the island community of Coronado lead the highest average income list with an average household income of $433,182, followed by the exclusive neighborhood of Rancho Santa Fe, CA with $403,995 as the average income. Wealthy U.S. cities from across the country made the list, with New England represented by three cities: Weston and Dover in Massachusetts and New Canaan in Connecticut. Some other high income communities included in the cities with the highest average household income are: Kenilworth, IL, Georgetown, D.C., Mountain Lakes, NJ, and Glencoe, IL.
