San Juan Capistrano, Orange County, California

Steeped in history and incorporated in 1961, San Juan traces its heritage back to the 1700s when Father Junipero Serra established the Mission. A city of approximatly thirty thousand that grew up and still revolves around the mission and the centrally located business district. Much of its architecture is still influenced by the use of red clay tile roofs and stucco walls, reminiscent of early California design.

Its topography consists of broad plains, gentle hillsides, and scenic canyons whose climate and air quality is influenced and improved by its close proximity to the coast. A city of contrast from castles to condos, catering to a broad range of living requirements and tastes. From multi-acre equestrian estates, gated enclaves overlooking a golf course, to reasonably priced condos, it has something for everyone.

Excellent commutor access is provided by an AM-TRAK station, the l-5 freeway which bisects the community, and the newly opened San Jucquin Hills toll road bringing the whole county within reach.

The city is well planned, with emphasis on low density and open space as a hallmark of it development.
